How I Solved My Struggles Working From Home

Since 2020, I started working from home. I think we all know what happened that year. And, yet, many people thought it was great to work from home. At first, it was cool to roll out of bed and work in your pajamas.

But, the truth is, I started to struggle with my home life versus my work life. I couldn't differentiate between the two.

My productivity went down and hated that my kids thought I worked all the time because they could see at my desk.

Thankfully, I was able to make some changes. Every morning, I wake up and get ready as if I was going to head to the office.

That's right, I take a shower and get dressed. This move got my mind on the right track and helped draw the line between work and life.

As for my kids, once they come home from school, I shut down the computer. I have dinner with them and have "dad time" with them. And, if, for any reason, I need to log on to the computer, I make sure to do it after they go to bed.

Admittedly, I do "cheat" a little by talking with my oldest child about some projects I have going on. But, only because he asks about my day too. ;)

Anyway, I do think there are positives from working from home. And, there are actually entry-level jobs that don't require any experience that you can start doing.

So, whether you're already working from home or want to make that move, be sure to take care of yourself and give yourself a break. Don't neglect the people we all work hard for.

Have an awesome day today!
